Fusion Extensions & Fusion Weft Extensions
this method of hair extensions is widely popular these days and quite affordable. The process uses a heated applicator to attach a shank of hair to the clients hair. each shank of hair consists of a grouping of human hair with a bond made of an adhesive designed specifically for hair extensions. Most hair extension bonds are made from keratin but some constist of silicone, organic pectin and other polymers. The heated elements of the applicator melt the adhesive and purge it through the donor hair and the clients hair creating a complete bond. The adhesive then hardens as it cools. This method lasts anywhere from 2 to 6 months depending on varying factors. To remove these extensions a remover is used derived from either alcohol, oil, acetone or other chemicals in either liquid or gel form. Fusion Weft method combines both fusions and wefted hair together which will give you fuller, thicker and longer full head of extensions. This method is for clients who are used to the sew in weave hair extensions but do not want the bulkiness of the sew in weave. It is flat, easy to maintain and can last you up to 1 to 2 months safely with proper maintenance.
Micro-link Extensions & Micro Weft Extensions
Loop-ring hair extensions are very similar to fusion hair extensions; however there are no adhesives used in this technique. Instead these strand by strand extensions are applied to the hair using a plastic loop through which the clients hair is pulled. Hair tweezers are then used to compress this plastic loop to the natural hair, securing the extensions in place. This method can slip more than fusion but is designed for hair that is more thin and fragile than normal hair. This method can last from 1-2 Months safely depending on varying factors. To remove these extensions you would either use a specifically designed tool to open the ring and gently slide off.
Skin-Weft Extensions
Also called tape extensions, these are adhered to a section of hair and lay flat against the scalp. These can be applied to a variety of hair, but do not hold up well under stress. To remove an oil or cream based remover is applied to the underside of the weave and massaged in with your fingers. place under heat source for couple seconds to soften adhesive compound and hair are gently pulled away. Using a fine tooth comb, remove any left behind adhesive. This method is temporary and can last up to 4 weeks safely.
